Norges Bank Investment Management is seeking a dedicated and results-oriented data engineer to join the Data Core team within the Technology and Operations area. As a Data Engineer you are responsible for developing and maintaining data models and pipelines used across all areas of NBIM. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive innovation through Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning while working with global financial datasets at an unprecedented scale.
What you will do
- Work with colleagues across investment, trading, compliance, and risk management functions to enhance data-driven investment decisions
- Design business- oriented data models that are usable for AI/ML
- Provide support and guidance for data users on data design and data solutions
- Set the standard for excellent data engineering practices and drive a learning culture through NBIM's data engineering community
- Focus on a modernized data platform with Snowflake and DBT at the core
- Work with a 100% cloud-based technology stack
- Proactively identify areas for improvement in processes and tools
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree or higher with strong academic records
- Experience with SQL, DBT and Python (or similar) to consume and work with data
- Preferably experience with AWS, Fivetran, Snowflake and Terraform
- Strong understanding of data, database development and data modelling
- Experience in managing stakeholders, expectations and priorities
- 3-5 years of working experience
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with proficiency in written and spoken English
