Data Engineer | Klaveness Digital

We are looking for a Data Engineer to help design and scale our modern data platform. Based in Oslo and reporting to the Head of Technology, you will play a central role in shaping how data powers our products and decisions.
What You Will Do
- As a Data Engineer on our team, you will:
- Design and develop high-performance batch and stream processing systems
- Manage and evolve cloud-based data warehouse services
- Collaborate with product and business managers to deliver compelling, data-driven features
- Partner with engineers to design scalable interfaces and abstractions
- Sharpen your skills and grow your domain expertise in modern data infrastructure
You will also help us evaluate new technologies and contribute to evolving our stack as we move into real-time data streaming and expand our platform’s capabilities.
Our Tech Stack
- Cloud & Infrastructure: Azure, Azure Data Lake
- Languages & Frameworks: Rust, SQL
- Databases & Pipelines: PostgresDB, TimescaleDB, DBT
- Orchestration & Monitoring: Kubernetes, job schedulers (Airflow, Prefect)
- Tooling (Bonus): Power BI, Metadata management platforms

What You Will Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven experience as a data engineer or similar role
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design
- Hands-on experience with strongly typed languages
- Experience with public cloud environments (Azure preferred)
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and its observability stack
- Strong command of SQL and a keen instinct for data quality
Bonus Experience (Nice to Have)
- Experience with DBT, Airflow, or Prefect
- Experience with a streaming platform, like Kafka
- Exposure to Rust, Scala or Typescript
- Azure Data Lake and Power BI
