We are continuing our growth and hope that you would like to join our team as a Lead Product Manager in either Grimstad or Oslo.

At Davidhorn, we’re building a new AI-supported product line for public-sector casework—and we’re looking for a Lead Product Manager to help shape and lead it.” You’ll translate user needs, academic research, and operational complexity into a product roadmap—and lead the cross-functional team delivering it. The role blends execution with leadership, technical insight with ethical responsibility.

Lead Product Manager – Investigative Intelligence

At Davidhorn, we build technology that helps investigators work faster, think more clearly, and reach fair outcomes—under pressure. Our tools are used in over 40 countries by professionals who protect the vulnerable and uphold justice. Now, we're building a new product line that combines AI, research-based practice, and public-sector reality to support the next generation of investigations.

As a Lead Product Manager, you lead the development of our new AI-supported product line for public-sector investigations. This is not a greenfield startup role—the new products build upon a trusted platform already used in 40+ countries by law enforcement and investigators. You will be responsible for shaping the roadmap, translating research and user needs into product features, and helping build and lead the cross-functional development team. The role involves balancing real-world complexity, legal/regulatory constraints, and applied AI (especially LLMs) to create practical tools for investigative work.

Your responsibilities

Product direction and ownership

  • Lead product planning and prioritisation across AI-supported investigation tools
  • Shape the roadmap in collaboration with leadership, engineering, and domain experts
  • Ensure product decisions align with user needs, legal constraints, and technical feasibility

Build and help lead the development team

  • Contribute to hiring and shaping a multidisciplinary product team
  • Help establish strong team practices and shared delivery focus
  • Foster a collaborative environment with clarity, ownership, and accountability

Domain insight and research grounding

  • Work directly with practitioners and partners in law enforcement, prosecution, and justice
  • Embed academic and behavioural research into product design and strategy
  • Adapt solutions to reflect real-world variation in workflows, laws, and cultural context

Legal and ethical alignment

  • Ensure features comply with relevant national regulations (e.g. GDPR, youth protection, data access)
  • Work with legal and domain advisors to support auditability, explainability, and trust in AI usage

Execution and collaboration

  • Translate complex needs into structured product definitions and outcomes
  • Work closely with AI, engineering, and design teams to ensure responsible delivery
  • Maintain short feedback loops with users, pilots, and internal stakeholders

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a tech-savvy Senior Product Manager with strong business acumen and an eye for data and analytics. It would be great if you had some interest in psychology and people, and of course interest in software and AI technology.

Key things we are looking for:

  • Experience as a PM in SaaS, GovTech, or AI-powered products
  • Comfortable working with engineers and building new teams
  • Strong grasp of LLM capabilities and limitations
  • Able to frame AI-powered product features responsibly and clearly
  • Clear communicator with a bias for action and a principled mindset
  • Familiarity with regulated domains or cross-country product contexts is a plus

Why join us

At Davidhorn, we’re not just building software—we’re building tools that help real investigators make better decisions in complex, high-stakes situations. When someone’s freedom, safety, or reputation is on the line, the quality of an investigation matters. And the tools behind that investigation matter too.

You’ll work on technology that’s directly used in interview rooms, case reviews, and frontline investigations across more than 40 countries. We have strong traction, a growing customer base, and the trust of police forces, prosecutors, and oversight bodies. That trust has been earned over years—and it's what gives us the mandate to do more now.

We believe the future of investigative work is not fully human, nor fully automated—but collaborative. That’s why we’re applying large language models and other AI technologies not to replace human judgment, but to support it: to reduce friction, surface what matters, and help professionals move with clarity and speed.

We’re backed by committed, long-term owners who believe in the mission and in building for the long haul—not chasing short-term gains. And we’re just getting started.

If you want to work on something that touches real cases, real lives, and real decisions—and you want to help shape how technology can responsibly support justice—we’d like to hear from you.
